My magazine will be...
My magazine will be inspired by magazines such as Kerrang and NME. It will also incorporate elements of gossip magazines in that it will have gossip on bands and famous 'rock' figures. The magazine will be slightly serious for people that are really into their music and the bands features but will also be fun-loving to make it entertaining for people who aren't as serious. It will be appealing to both male and female readers.
Photo shoot ideas
Double page spread- In my double page spread I would like two photos of the band all together on a beach in the winter.
Idea 1- The band would be standing at the base of a cliff and the camera would be low to the ground tilting up at the band so the cliff tops are in the shot too.
Idea 2- The band would be standing on the beach with the sea in the background, showing the harsh surroundings during the winter which I think, reflects the genre of the music. However the group will be showing their fun side aswell, inspired by the 'A day to remember' photo i have posted on my blog.
Cover page- My main image will be inspired by the paramore and king blues photos I have uploaded to my blog. The photo will be taken in a studio in front of the screen and the lighting will be dim. The band will be standing close together with the lead singer infront or in the middle of the band and will stand out against the rest (perhaps with bright clothes or hair). The camera angle will be looking down on the group from above with the band looking up into the camera.

Inpiring photography
I like this photo because I like how it shows the lead singer in front of the rest of the band, she is the main focus, it's quite a dark photo so her hair stands out above anything else but the way they are all standing close together in a group shows they are quite close as a band.

Paramore
I like this picture because it brings across the rebellious side of rock but also keeps it fun and shows the personality of the band.

A day to remember
I like this picture because it seems very relaxed. I like the angle it is taken from, it's like we are looking up at them, like we should almost worship them, it gives them authority.

Early masthead ideas
These are some of the names I have thought about using for my music magazine-
-Epic
-Red Alt.
-Contrast
-Decode
-Impact
I like these names because I think strong, bold words which grab your attention and stand out. This therefore reflects the genre of the magazine.
